Lady Lapponia is my other stage persona. She enjoys singing nostalgic Finnish jazz and evergreens from the 1930’s to 1960’s.

People outside Finland might not know much about Finnish music, other than classical—we DO have other composer in addition to Sibelius you know. I hope this will gradually change, since there has been, and still are, many great and talented composers in the jazzy field. And the legendary Finnish tango music of course—so dramatic and sad, yet full of hope and grit. Some great composers you might want to check out: Erik Lindström, Toivo Kärki, Unto Mononen, Börje Sundström, Lasse Mårtensson and Rauno Lehtinen.
